Scottish Lowlanders
The Goois Natuurreservaat has kept Scottish Highland cattle on the heath since the late 1980s. A herd built for a mountain winter, now grazing where the heather is still out. They take the grass the Drenthe sheep leave and pull young pine, the part of the job a sheep will not do.
