The cat from the first picture still has his hind paw on the laptop, front paw lifted to give the human a supportive slap.

The cat is sitting fully on the human’s right arm, giving the human time to think over his admin tasks and make sure he does them right. The cat has its eyes closed and contemplates the universe.

The cat has snuggled up against the human, making further admin work impossible, but snuggling your cat is much better anyway so in the grand scheme of things this is definitely helping
