Psychedelic sunset, Scoville Reservoir, Wolcott, Connecticut. March 20, 2021, 6:40 PM.

Walking a dirt and gravel footpath along the shore of a pond. The path and adjacent shoreline make a 90 degree turn right ahead, then follow a narrow peninsula with a forest of leafless trees waiting for spring. Already rather low in the sky, the sun is shining directly towards us through the branches. To our right we can see a small corner of a small cove on the lake, most of the lake is out of frame. A small patch of thin ice sits near the far shore. The rest of the bay is open water, rippled by gusty breezes. Those ripples are distorting the silhouetted reflections of the trees into a psychedelic pattern of wavy loops.

I ♡ Alicante

I stayed on the roof after the sun set. There wasn’t much cloud in the sky, but a haze on the horizon caught the glow of the disappeared sun and lit up the edge of that expanse. Soon after, a neon sign lit up on the roof of a building opposite declaring its love f ...

The sky over Alicante after sunset, orange at the horizon fading to purple above, with the city's rooftops in silhouette, including a church bell tower and dome on the left and a tall tower block in the centre. On a nearby rooftop terrace, a neon sign reading "I ♡ Alicante" glows yellow and pink beside a lit doorway, with wall lamps, an open parasol, sun loungers and chairs.

Day 265
#365project

Tonight's sunset is dedicated to @Grannybeelee on her birthday who wishes for more cake and beautiful sunsets for everybody!

You may think this looks familiar, and you'd be correct. But I can't help it if I have a crazy beautiful, perfectly scenic view on my dog walk every evening. So when the sky looks like this, you're gonna see it!

A scenic view over Llyn Bach in Porthmadog at golden hour. The calm lake perfectly reflects a dramatic, colorful sky in pastel pinks, oranges, and blues. Low-hanging clouds stretch across the sky in distinct horizontal stripes and partially shroud the rugged Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains rising in the background. A line of dark green trees on the far bank reflected in the lake.

Instructions for living a life:
Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.

From Sometimes by Mary Oliver

#sunset #redsky #love #photography

Saw the glorious sunset on the west side of my terrace. Its the rage inside which seems to be scattered across sky tonight. What a lovely sight. So in the photograph, there is a spattering of orange red hues across the sky. Towards the left edge is a crow taking a flight somewhere. Canopy of someone's house in front is also visible. Sometimes melancholy leaves me breathless. Mary Oliver's lines I read before seeing this sight. Couldn't agree more.

The Island VII/IX.

Métis-sur-Mer, August 2026.

#sea #seascape #island #sunset #photography

Photograph of a coastal landscape and a small rocky island in the center of the photo, with a spectacular sunset sky above. A band of yellow and orange light is just above the island, while bluish cloudy sky occupies the entire upper part of the image, white clouds and white light having a spiral shape. In front of the island, the sea reflects the blue sky, with some rocks emerging from the water. The coast extends on the left side of the image.

📍 Salamanca.

#FensterFreitag #WindowFriday

Descripción en #alttext

#photography #photo #fotografia #blackandwhite #bnwphotography #bnw #monochrome #blancoynegro #salamanca #streetphotography #architecture #cityscape #sunset #moon
