WEEK 17: PINKY VIOLENCE WEEK
Not quite as immediately enthralling for me as LADY SNOWBLOOD, but getting to see Meiko Kaji playing a similarly ruthless character in the modern day is fun nonetheless. The hole-digging scene and the ensuing fight is maybe one of the wildest set pieces I've seen in an exploitation flick.

WEEK 11: SHAW BROTHERS WEEK
A pretty standard martial-arts flick distinguished by a hissable villain performance and some really impressive knife-fighting sequences. I wish I could have watched this in the nice new Blu-ray transfer instead of the crappy pan-and-scan dub on Tubi, but I had a good time with it.

This one was pretty fun! The werewolf makeup/FX are maybe a little too ambitious for the budget, but the performances by the young leads are good enough in a Buffy/CW teen soap kind of way that I didn't mind too much.
