“在我的生命中，有过很多害怕的时候，但我从未体会到恐惧的真正含义。直到当时亲吻贝基的那刻。只是短暂地陷入睡眠，然后我所深爱的女孩就变成了一心要置我于死地的异类敌人。那一刻的短暂入眠，扼杀了贝基的灵魂。就像杰克和泰迪身上发生的一样，还有丹·考夫曼的其他所有人。他们的肉体现在已经有了宿主，而里面藏匿的是外星生物，某种来自宇宙的生命形式。那种为了生存必须取代和统御所有人类存在的生命。所以我就跑，一直跑，就像小吉米那天一样夺命狂奔。我唯一的希望就是逃离圣米拉，跑上高速公路，去警告其他人这里发生了什么。”

非常超前的设定。虽然有些细节没考虑，但群体恐惧、身份恐惧的效果已经体现出来了。甚至海报除了在视觉引导恐慌外，（个人猜测）疑似和当时Red Scare有所关联。总之是部划时代的好作品啊！
