Successful French band formed in 1983 by Olivier Champeau (vocals, keyboards) and Vincent Legallo (vocals, guitar). Their first works had a quite romantic new-wave sound. It has radically evolved during the years with electro-dance atmospheres and/or rock-y sounds. They were joined in 1988 by Nicolas Dufaure (bass). They gained a much larger audience when they signed to Lively Art and were part of the Touching Pop (pseudo musical movement they created together with Asylum Party and Mary Goes Round). Joined by Ronan Lesergent (keyboards) and Georges Remiet (guitar) in 1992, they disbanded the same year after a suprisingly common pop/rock album and a final tour. Singer Olivier Champeau is now known as Doctorolive for more techno/house sounds. The band reactivated in 2008.
Joe's Garage: Acts I, II & III is a 1979 rock opera by Frank Zappa, which tells the story of what could possibly happen if music was made illegal. The album features Ike Willis as the voice of "Joe", a stereotypical garage band youth who unwittingly journeys through the miasma of the music business. Zappa provides the voice of the "Central Scrutinizer" character—a mechanical voice that narrates the story and haunts Joe's psyche with McCarthyistic 50s-era discouragement and "scrutiny."
Days of Future Passed is the second album and first concept album by The Moody Blues, released in 1967. It was also their first album to feature Justin Hayward and John Lodge, who would play a very strong role in directing the band's sound in the decades to come. Utilising the London Festival Orchestra primarily for epic instrumental interludes between songs, Days of Future Passed moved the Birmingham band away from its early R&B roots (as displayed on its debut album with soon-departed future Wings member Denny Laine) into uncharted rock territory, making them the early pioneers of both classical and progressive rock.
