欢快的表象下是悲伤的故事。森林的原住民因为人类的高速发展而失去家园，于是决定开启战争反抗。天真的狸猫们以为事故可以阻止开发、变身妖怪即可使人们恐惧，然而拼尽全力幻化出的百鬼夜行，人们只觉得是游行感到乐趣，又被比老狸子还要卑鄙无耻的资本家游乐场开发方冒名认领。实际上被采访的居民道出了真相：就算恐惧也无法离开，在资本社会被房产绑定如何轻易逃脱。

没有了栖息地、食物资源也不够，明显影射神风队的激进派进攻被人类碾压，老去的长老化身宝船带着不会变身的狸猫们踏上死亡之旅。最后剩下的狸猫们找回玩心再现曾经的故乡和自然以及和人类共同生活的过去，自此假装人类在都市生存，偶尔与朋友相见才找到一丝空隙快乐共舞。

非常多美丽的镜头，光是开幕巨大的挖掘机一口挖空山林、迷你的起重机们仿佛蚂蚁沿着叶脉吃掉自然，又是人类化身的神佛用工业伟力仿佛玩乐般移平景色建起高楼就叫人惊艳。狸猫们随着口号变身，再到三段幻想和剧情的结合都充满动画才有的想象力。

事实上这部里人类是没有狸猫坏的，狸猫们的激进派喊着杀光人类、温和派也毫不在意的恐吓人类引发事故导致人类去世，反而人类方只是被动的反击，真正看到幻象的妖怪游行时充满好奇心，电视台的节目组因狸猫的投诉信前来采访并帮助把信息传播出去。真正的、直接的恶人只有谎称是自家乐园举行了妖怪游戏的资本家。

在本片里看到吉卜力的环保主义和呼吁，然而何止是自然被现代的高速发展过度开发吞噬，前现代文明和人类作为个体在社会的生存也被资本主义摧毁。总是严重到无法挽回才意识到问题，可也总是太晚了现在再开始也不能恢复过去。导演对资本主义（同时也是对日本战后的高速发展时期）的批判即邪恶之处在于人们并非有意作恶。想到当下ai的推行和对效率的极致要求，然而发展发展，这一切又是为了什么？

为了看2重温，还是会被动物城的想象力惊艳到，不知道为什么听shakira唱try everything就会想落泪好神秘。现在再看狐兔的关系性太典型了（但异性恋的部分好像又没多少）可能是看过八百遍美式搭档情都这样吧，不过还是很喜欢nick的。Zootopia并非人人平等完美的乌托邦，但所有动物都在为了理想而努力try everything。
