16岁的中国女孩珍（妞妞 饰）独身赴英国留学，当她在伦敦机场徘徊之际，校方派来接站的香港留学生DJ（陈冠希 饰）心不在焉的出现了，DJ索要了珍的小费之后带她参观校园，珍的土气举动让DJ啼笑皆非。因为自己的音乐梦想，DJ被负责任的钢琴教师盯住不放，昔日的橄榄球队友汤姆看着DJ远去的背影只能徒呼奈何。
珍在周围同学的捉弄中渐渐适应着留学生活，阴差阳错又接下橄榄球队后勤经理的苦差，但珍用自己的乐观勤勉打动同学们并最终扭转了他们的态度。橄榄球队成绩不佳，珍出面招募新队员的同时DJ和汤姆为争夺珍暗中较劲。校际橄榄球比赛开始了，曾经是球队主力的DJ无法在琴房中安心练琴，他最终还是奔向了心爱的球场……
