Guillermo del Toro's Netflix horror anthology series "Cabinet of Curiosities" (originally titled "Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight") has added F. Murray Abraham, Ben Barnes, Elpidia Carrillo, Essie Davis, Hannah Galway, Crispin Glover, Demetrius Grosse, David Hewlett, Andrew Lincoln, Tim Blake Nelson, Luke Roberts, Sebastian Roché, Glynn Turman and Peter Weller to its cast. The prolific Academy-Award-winning Mexican filmmaker behind "Pan's Labyrinth," "Hellboy," "The Shape of Water" and "Pacific Rim" will executive produce, co-showrun and direct the series - described as a curation of eight unprecedented and genre-defining sinister narratives meant to challenge traditional notions of horror, ranging from the macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy. Two of the eight tales are original works by del Toro.

本作品是从美国两部电视系列剧《第九空间》（THE OUTER LIMITS） 和《阴阳魔界》（The Twilight Zone）得到灵感创作的科学幻想电视连续剧描述了万城目淳（飞行员）、户川一平（助手）与江户川由利子（新闻摄影师）他们三人每次遭遇到的不可思议事件，而多半均与怪兽有关。本片于1966（昭和 41年）1月2日 -7月3日播出 当时播出的赞助商是武田药品 奥特Q当初 是以“不平衡”为主题，1964年9月开始拍摄。奥特Q这个题目是从当时的流行语“超C”（ULTRA-C，表示体操动作难度的词汇）与英文单字“问题”（question）的首字母“Ｑ”合并后命名。以圆谷英二先生做特摄技术的监督为卖点 开始的时候还是按照国产的真正奇异事件电视连续剧 以不平衡为主题创作但是不久就决定更改为怪兽路线，同时题目也改成了奥特Q。然后全部28话的拍摄结束，1966年1月2日开始播放奥特系列。旁白是当时还是学生的石坂浩二一开始的作品是有高价的电影合成机制作生成的。到了平成奥特Q是根据藤原カムイ的漫画，基本忠实原做创作的。

1988年，刑警卫国平（张译 饰）在追捕连环凶杀案的行动中目睹战友牺牲，而凶手却逃跑了，此事成为卫国平的心结。八年后，宁江市发生了骇人听闻的碎尸案，此时卫国平已成长为成熟的刑警队长。他在带领队员调查的过程中相继破获了不少相关案件，但是碎尸案始终充满疑云，并且很多线索与八年前的连环凶杀案有关，这些发现让卫国平振奋但也成为他后来判断案情的阻碍。在案件的推进过程中，聂宝华（赵阳 饰）的犯罪集团也介入其中，最终卫国平在领导和队友的帮助支持下，抓获了八年前的凶手，同时打掉了以聂宝华为首的犯罪集团。

该作是以即便杀了也绝不会死去，因其美貌而让男人们陷入恐怖之中的“富江”，和喜欢用“让你陷入恐怖之中”的口癖来诅咒人的“双一”等，代表伊藤润二作品的角色们为首，在每一集中让个性丰富的主人公登场的集锦动画。

To celebrate their graduation from university Kaori and her two friends visit Okinawa in southern Japan for a short vacation. At the vacation house, provided by Tadashi's uncle, a numbing stench awaits the girls, and can be traced to a horrendously deformed, legged fish that Kaori kills. More and more of these creatures appear and portend a horrific change for the animal life in the area. A phone call from Kaori's fiancé Tadashi in Tokyo quickly shows the scope of this epidemic, when he is also attacked by these mechanized fish. Kaori immediately sets out on an perilous voyage to find out what happened to Tadashi, helped by Shirakawa — a videographer in search of the truth behind all this...
