The pandemic has sent most industries into recession. 儘管如此，根據社會福利署「義工運動」的統計數字，截至2018年，香港已登記的義工人數超過130萬。這支義工大軍之中有不少中堅分子，做義工的時數甚高，不僅全情投入義務工作並持之以恆，甚至將義工精神融入日常生活中，遠遠超越做義工只是參與一個「項目」或「活動」的層次。究竟，他們從「義工初哥」如何走到現在？過程中如何助人自助？遇到困難和挑戰時又怎樣面對？最終，是什麼信念和想法一直支持着他們行義？
一連八集改編自真實個案的單元劇，當中義工人物角色包括大學畢業生(青年人)、小孩和家長、在職人士(中年的士司機)、專業人士(社工、設計師、記者等)、社會企業創辦人、退休人士及病患康復者(乳癌康復者、情緒病康復者)。透過戲劇細膩地描寫角色在不同義工路上的心態，讓觀眾細味箇中的「甜、酸、苦、辣」，更深刻地領略如何「做義工，生活不一樣」。
