<p>Blue Pacific</p><p>This image, to me and many of my other phototgraphs of California are what I call, my California. My California is not what is broadcast across the country and in some cases the world. Blue Pacific

A sturdy working fishing boat rests quietly at its berth in Noyo Harbor, its hull weathered by years of salt, wind, and long Pacific seasons. The vessel sits low and confident in the water, its white and blue surfaces catching the cool coastal light. Metal rigging rises above it like a skeletal crown, lines and pulleys clinking softly in the breeze—sounds you can almost hear just by looking.

The atmosphere feels crisp and briny, the kind of air that wakes your lungs. There’s a quiet dignity to the scene—no glamour, no postcard polish—just the honest presence of a boat built for work, resting between journeys. The rugged North Coast mood settles over everything: calm, cool, and deeply real, the Pacific whispering just beyond the harbor mouth.

<p>The Trolls Home</p><p>After hiking down under a bridge on Hwy 120 I found this graffiti under the bridge. Isn't there anywhere sacred? Anyways upon seeing the graffiti I knew right away the kind of image I wanted to create.<br>The title came to me after thinking about the graffiti and asking myself who lives under a bridge. The Trolls Home

A weathered concrete bridge looms overhead, its underside stained with time and splashed with bold graffiti that glows like rebellious color against the muted stone. Rough textures ripple across the pillars—scratches, cracks, and gritty patches that catch the light in uneven streaks.

Below, a small waterfall tumbles over dark, moss‑slick rocks, its white froth swirling into a shallow pool. You can almost hear the constant rush of water, a low, echoing murmur that fills the hollow space beneath the bridge. The surrounding stone is mottled with earthy browns and deep greens, giving the scene a cave‑like moodiness.

A faint mist hangs in the air, softening the edges of the rocks and adding a cool bite to the imagined atmosphere. The entire scene feels like a hidden world—half natural, half claimed by human hands—where the grunge textures and deepened shadows create the sense that something secretive lives just out of sight. <p>Wildcat Falls II</p><p>This is my favorite of the lesser known waterfalls of Yosemite National Park. Wildcat Falls II

This photograph unfolds like a quiet revelation at the base of Yosemite’s granite heart. <p>Emerald Cascade</p><p>A few miles outside of Yosemite Valley but still in the park is a little turnoff on Hwy 120 that mostly goes unnoticed. It's a real shame because at that turn off is this little gem off a waterfall. Emerald Cascade

Emerald Cascade feels like stepping into a cool, hidden pocket of Yosemite where water, stone, and forest all press close around you.

The cascade twists and folds over itself, creating soft, luminous curves that feel almost liquid‑glass. <p>Bridalveil<br>Bridalveil Fall is one of the most accessible water falls in Yosemite Valley. Although not as tall as Yosemite Falls it has a beauty all it's own.<br>The name comes from the resemblance of a bridal veil. Bridalveil

Bridalveil unfolds with a striking simplicity that feels almost architectural in its precision. Bridalveil Fall slices down the granite wall like a luminous ribbon, a clean, uninterrupted column of white water glowing against the dark, blue‑cast rock face. The morning sun—still high enough to sit behind the crest—creates a fine, shimmering halo at the very top, as if the waterfall is lit from within.

Springtime In The Orchard II unfolds like a quiet breath of spring after rain, full of softness and renewal.

A long orchard row stretches into the distance, the trees standing in perfect rhythm—each one crowned with a cloud of delicate white blossoms. <p>Half Dome Spring<br>Yosemite National Park is truly a national treasure. No picture taken or painting painted that can capture the true beauty and feeling that one has when first visiting this magnificent National Park.<br>This was captured on a warm spring day. I created this mandala from my photograph of the Sydney Harbour Bridge I captured and created the mandala / kaleidoscope with special software from my image. I was amazed to see how the Harbour Bridge looked so different in the mandala with magnificent detail.

<p>Petaluma River II</p><p>The Petaluma River is typically a very lazy river with a nice calming affect for those that can find the time to sit and enjoy its presence.<br>There are only a handful of access points to the river, most of them in and around the town of Petaluma itself. Petaluma River II

The scene opens on a quiet stretch of the Petaluma River at what feels like the first warm breath of the morning. The light is soft and honey‑gold, the kind that settles gently over everything it touches. It glows across the water’s surface, turning the river into a smooth sheet of warm color—amber near the horizon, shifting into cooler silvery blues as it approaches the foreground.

<p>Sonoma Coast</p><p>Sonoma Coast. The Sonoma Coast in Northern California is a rugged, rural stretch of shoreline roughly an hour north of San Francisco. The water off the coast is cold and many of the days are cold also.<br>On a good day the fog burns off around noon and stays out to sea for 4 to 5 hours. I captured this image of these Mountain Bongos at the Dubbo Western Plains Zoo in the mid west of NSW, Australia. An amazing zoo to visit if you are in NSW, Australia. I chose to post this image due to its endangered species.

The Mountain Bongo (Tragelaphus eurycerus isaaci) is a critically endangered, large forest antelope native only to Kenya's highland forests. With fewer than 100 individuals estimated in the wild, they are among Africa's rarest mammals, characterized by a vibrant reddish-brown coat with white stripes, large ears, and spiral horns.

<p>Morning on the River</p><p>Petaluma is located in Southern Sonoma County just north of Marin County. <p>Racing Balloons</p><p>I'm not exactly sure why they call the Reno Balloon Race a race at all. It seemed that nobody was in a real hurry to get off the ground. Once off the ground I didn't see anyway to race these things or a course to race on. It seemed as if they were just floating up and down and around, looking for different currents to float on.<br>I'm not criticizing this.
