<p>Long Wharf has been the heart of Boston&#x27;s waterfront for more than 300 years. <p>Put enough CO2 into the system all at once, and push the life-sustaining carbon cycle far enough out of equilibrium, and it might escape into a sort of planetary failure mode, where processes intrinsic to the Earth itself take over, acting as positive feedback to release dramatically more carbon into the system. Gone!</p><p>2) Our sauna... Gone!</p><p>3) My old partner was about to start a refurb on the cabin.</p><p>He recently had a shipping container dropped there and had moved a significant amount of stuff out of the cabin.</p><p>The container and its contents were unharmed!</p><p>4) The real miracle is his homestead was spared.</p><p>No details available, but I think the fire got pinched between the clearing around the buildings and the stream/bog/beaver pond behind it (left side of this picture).
