Dans une semaine, une #éclipse partielle de Soleil sera visible en France métropolitaine. Pour l'observer, il faudra être équipé de lunettes d'éclipse ou d'un instrument solaire dédié. N'utilisez surtout pas des jumelles ou un télescope nocturne.
Avec plusieurs collègues de l'Observatoire de Paris et du LIRA nous serons au Festival Science InfuZe au Hangar Y à Meudon pour partager cette observation.

I really can't stop looking at this photo - We usually think of space as being entirely empty and dark, but our Sun has a lot of dust around it that we can rarely see. This so called Zodiacal light is giving the moon this eerie backlit glow.
And four people really have been there and witnessed this yesterday, absolutely blows my mind!

J'ai passé une très grosse partie de l'après-midi à chercher des lunettes pour l'éclipse.
J'ai essayé 4 pharmacies, 3 opticiens, 5 marchands de journaux, des bazars, etc.
La PQR titre qu'il n'y a plus de lunettes en Aveyron.
La dernière pharmacie visitée dit qu'il y en a au Leclerc de Capdenac (c'est à 25 km, je suis à pieds)
Cosas para las que nunca saco tiempo. Por ejemplo poner en una tabla la cronología de cosas que pasan durante el #eclipse parcial antes de la totalidad (y después, evidentemente). Lo he puesto en el blog:

L'éclipse est maintenant bien visible (Chamrousse).
Du coup ma théorie, c'est que dans la pure tradition grenobloise, les gens vont commencer maintenant à repartir pour être les premiers à rentrer.

What an amazing #SolarEclipse we witnessed this week! I photographed it from Peñafiel in the north of #Spain, home to a beautiful castle that provided the perfect foreground for the spectacular #eclipse. The sky cleared up in time for the peak. If my neighbors didn't already think I'm weird, this should clinch it. Stalking the sidewalk at midnight, with binoculars in my left hand, iPhone in my right hand, and a bug net over my head for mosquitoes.
