This is how #Holos currently handles #E2EE DMs over #ActivityPub. Holos is a project we develop alongside #Fedilab.
#Fedilab 3.41.0 is available.
This release adds Collections support, ready for the upcoming Mastodon 4.6. You can create, edit, delete and browse collections, manage their members, and you get notified when someone adds you, with the option to remove yourself.
You can now tap the ALT badge to read a media description without opening it. It also fixes timeline gaps, the app refreshing on every open, and the battery drain caused by animated emojis.

I took some time to fix the built-in translator for #Fedilab and #HolosSocial. No updates on your side, it concerns the service on the server.
The export/import feature in #Fedilab was built long ago. It was meant as a temporary file, to be deleted once the data has been imported.
It's handy because you get all your data back (settings) and you're already logged in.
But the main issue is that both devices share the same token, which breaks push notifications (only one device will receive them).
The quick fix: just log in on the second device to create a new token and register for push notifications again. I will improve this.

#Loops updated their API docs. The way it is built is really a help for app devs. Currently, #Fedilab supports the #Mastodon, #PeerTube and #Misskey APIs. I personally think that adding Loops with their dedicated API would be a nice and good fit with Fedilab's purpose, and the poll results seem to go that way :)
Just went to share a link from my browser. The link included an image. Normally, I remove the image. But Fedilab no longer lets me remove it!
A step back in usability, Fedilab. Bah.
✅ Fixed: the moved quoted button was the problem for me. I saw it now by accident.

It always worked, but it's not working anymore.
I already deleted and reinstalled Fedilab.
I tried the official Mastodon app, and there it worked, so it's not a problem with my account.
Asking first here before filling out the bug report tomorrow.
I use Fedilab (@apps) for Mastodon, and the "Warn if message has no media description before boosting" is one of my favourite settings.

We will introduce the #HolosDiscover API in #Fedilab. It allows to tailor a timeline with up to 20 tags. It can be really useful for small instances.
However, unlike the #Holos app where posts from blocked or muted accounts are filtered out, Fedilab won't be able to apply these filters.
Next week, I will be back on #Fedilab. I might increase the release delivery through beta versions (every one or two days). I know I can do that because there is an active community of beta testers with Fedilab. Those releases will be published on Google Play (beta channel), #Fdroid (custom repo) and #Codeberg (release notes).

I already said it, #HolosSocial is by far my most ambitious project. But most of you know me and support me for #Fedilab.
Right now I try to fairly balance the work between these two big projects. My smaller projects feel more like a break.
Please be honest, this matters to me:
Long presses often give access to hidden features in #Fedilab. For instance, just long press a URL to get more options. You can even check redirects and visit the destination directly, bypassing the tracking redirect.

#Fedilab 3.43.1 has been published. This is a small release to fix the "Catte bomb". Don't open those threads without the fix, otherwise the app will freeze :)
This release also fixes quotes in notifications where the CW couldn't be opened.

#Fedilab 3.42.0-beta-1 is available for beta testers.
It adds a boost visibility option, a remove button in thread composition, an unread DM badge in the bottom menu, a mixed conversation mode, and announcement badges.
I also prioritized all bugs with an easy fix to clear out several of them, including some old ones.
