This famous poster from the Holocaust Museum displays the early warning signs of #fascism. While still applicable, I want to make it clear that we are chest-deep in the #fascist #cesspool and have been for *years*.
Pinning this to my profile in case you know someone who still has doubts. Send them this post.
History is repeating itself once again.

✨Diana✨
The goddess of the hunt prepares her bow and arrow in this scene from the Villa Arianna in Stabiae and now held by the MAN Napoli. The gorgeous blue of the background sets the golden yellow hues of Diana’s gown off in delicious contrast drawing attention to just how vibrant the colours could be in ancient Roman art.

Hmm, one of my students found a message in a bottle from 1964 out wedged in rocks on Channel Islands National Park. Now with the appropriate authorities (considered a historical artifact). If anyone knows Becki Walters, formerly of Canoga Park, daughter of Roy A. Walters (Becki is now probably 77 and living in Tucson, Arizona as Becky Higgenbottom), give me a DM. #mystery #history
If there's anyone left who can write, future historians are going to write that the 21st Century people* were the dumbest motherfuckers who ever fucked their mothers for want of a hole in the ground. We made Idiocracy look optimistic in just 20 years!
I literally can't think of anyone who fucked up this hard. Aztecs are the closest, worshipping Cortez as a god and letting him destroy their civilization. But some people survived that!

An abandoned former military base in East Germany
After 1945, Soviet forces converted the old German base into a closed military town. By the 1970s, around 75,000 soldiers and families lived here. It was abandoned in the mid-1990s.
Many relics of the Soviet occupation remain. A statue of Lenin stands near the entrance. There is also a large theatre, a decaying swimming pool and a ballroom. Murals decorate walls and corridors.
