I have like zero respect left for developers who use LLMs to write or maintain their software.

I don't even care for the reasons why they use this unethical piece of... technology.

Technology trained on data they don't own. Technology owned and shaped by fascists. Technology that sends its crawlers around the globe to suck every bit they can find to dump their models into big f***ing corp data centers. Data centers that are polluting the air with their big ass gas plants.

But hey! "Leave ethics aside". "That's how software development works today!".

I'm so sick of this and about everyone supporting this industry.

If you feel targeted, you are welcome. I have zero respect for you or your software garbage. I just wish you the worst.

Okay, hi everyone

This weekend, after a random toot from @alice in my TL, I found myself in a rabbit hole to enhance and create an iOS 6 theme for GTK4. It's not much, it has some rough edges, but damn it looks so cool, and I'm so proud of this!!

If you wanna help with design or add icons, please feel free to do so!

The code and install instructions lives here : https://gitlab.com/Krafting/igtk-theme

hey everyone,

you may have guessed reading between the lines, but I lost my job in the recent tech layoffs…

also burnt out and realised I need to go back to working on stuff I care about.

I hope to gather enough small monthly sponsors to at least cover the bills, so I can:

- 🖥️ create beautiful apps for #Linux / #GNOME

- ✏️ provide free #design support to #OpenSource projects

if you like my work, please consider $1/month to make this possible?

thank you. :)

I wish #ProtonMail would sync files to its Proton Drive on Linux distros, same as I used to in my Windows. It's a good alternative for OneDrive, and it's free. I only need 5GB max.

I've been reading about #NextCloud but I don't want to pay something like £10 a month.

Occasionally, I reassess my native Linux Synth/sampler plugins collection & try to come up with a favorite top 10. While I have plenty more, if forced to choose 10 today it would be:

* Repro
* Hive 2
* Chipsynth OPS7
* Quanta 2
* Sforzando
* Decent Sampler
* Linux Sampler
* Zebra 3
* Apisonic Audio's Speedrum 2
* Shortcircuit-XT

I can make any sound with these.

I've overhauled my Patreon! I'm now focused on making CC0 software for Linux and Windows - free, open source, no strings attached. If you want to support the work, vote on what gets built next, or just follow along, the new tiers are live now. Everything I make will always be free for everyone, but if you believe in what I'm doing, this is the best way to help 🙂
