Hey everyone, hope the weather's as nice wherever you are as it is in NYC. I'm writing this post to pin it- just want to say that I somtimes use Masto to promote events & content. Mostly public philosophy, almost always free stuff. I'm fully independent & financially precarious- this is part of a necessary work hustle for me. I'm also very left-leaning: I don't like using Big Tech platforms, but if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to work at all. Thanks for understanding

#drogieFedi Szukam osoby chętnej do przejęcia tłumaczenia na język polski aplikacji Pachli, klienta Mastodona dla Androida.
Sam właściwie przestałem używać Pachli (przestawiłem się na PWA z Phanpy), więc i motywacja do dalszej pracy nad nim bardzo się mi zmniejszyła, tym bardziej, że i tak mam sporo pracy przy innych tłumaczeniach.
Techniczna strona przekładu jest dość prosta, bo odbywa się w wygodnym interfejsie Weblate¹, który opisałem na blogu².
Apka aktualnie jest spolszczona w 100%, więc cała praca to przekładanie raz na jakiś czas nowych ciągów, które się pojawiają w trakcie rozwoju.
Nowe wersje Pachli wychodzą zawsze pod koniec miesiąca, a trochę wcześniej można sprawdzić nowe teksty w wersji rozwojowej Pachli Current³, dostępnej w Google Play, co pozwala na poznanie kontekstu, w jakim występują.
Jeżeli ktoś się zdecyduje, to chętnie pomogę i odpowiem na pytania związane z tłumaczeniem.

Tomorrow, I am back to #Fedilab fixes and enhancements. There is currently a beta version with several fixes. I will also try to improve the speed. The local cache keeps growing without limits, and past a certain point it slows the app down instead of making it faster. I will also add missing features from #Mastodon 4.6 (media descriptions for profile picture and header).
I’m not angry… just exhausted.
Exhausted from talking about pain.
Exhausted from nights where my chest tightens and I struggle to breathe.
Exhausted from staying awake because I can’t afford the treatment or a breathing device that could ease this suffering.

. Am 1. Juli 2025 hatten wir einen eigenen Server 
in Betrieb genommen, aktuell nutzen rund 20 Organisationseinheiten die Instanz als Plattform für #Wissenschaftskommunikation. Von heute an (15. April 2026) können Beschäftigte des KIT auch einen persönlichen Account anlegen.

Two things you can see here... It's pretty hot! That's why I stayed home and implemented a missing feature into snac. That's what you can also see - it finally sends push notifications to devices! In this case, we can see notifications coming from #MastoBlaster App for iPhone.
What we can also see, it's still a bit faulty and not the expected content, but a first success here at least ;) I'll make some further adjustments when there's time and get in touch with @grunfink to check if we can get this upstream. Thanks to @stefano for testing with me :)

I've tried Tusky and Fedilab for Masto. Neither is terrible but like, both have probs that mean I have to use both.
Tusky:
- No quote support (still)
- Doesn't find all replies
- Emoji support weird
Fedilab:
- Can't load comments in long reply chain
- Refresh doesn't always work
- Hard to follow complex convos
...so what else is there to try?
