The Gazania rigens often called treasure flowers, a native of South Africa. Introduced to the British Isles in 1760. They don't seem to be popular with butterflies and bees, I love them if they don't.
One image has the full flower wide open, then a close up of petals and stamens. The next is where the flower head is in the process of closing up for the day. The final image is the where the seed head has burst open ready to release its seeds on the wind.
