【概要】9月下旬、畦道に開花したヒガンバナ。その他、イヌタデやオモダカ、そして外来種のタケトアゼナなど。
【抜粋】お墓の周りにこの花が植えられたのは、土葬が主流だった時代、その毒で小動物が遺体を掘り起こすのを防ぐためだったとも言われています。そのためか、この花には「死」や「生まれ変わり」といった独特のイメージが与えられているように思います。この花の美しさに妖しさを感じてしまうのは、そんな背景があるのだと思います。

Ce matin, un seul sujet (deux rameaux éclairés dans un sous-bois) mais trois captations en appliquant un mouvement volontaire différent pendant celles-ci : un mouvement horizontal, une rotation et un mouvement vertical.

This morning, just one subject (two illuminated twigs in the undergrowth) but three shots, each taken whilst deliberately moving in a different way: a horizontal movement, a rotation and a vertical movement.

Triptyque sur fond noir de trois photos en couleur du même sujet, mais en appliquant un mouvement volontaire pendant chacune des captations.
Il s'agit de captations de deux rameaux verticaux bien éclairés et encore bien verts dans un environnement plus sombre de sous bois
Sur la première photo, j'ai appliqué un mouvement horizontal de panotage alors que sur la troisième photo, le mouvement de panotage est vertical vers le haut et entre les deux, j'ai pratiqué une rotation autour de l'axe de l'objectif pendant la prise de la seconde photo.
Les filés verts sont donc horizontaux sur la première photo, circulaires et concentriques sur la seconde photo et verticaux sur la troisième. Avec dans les trois photos, il y a également des filés bleus du ciel filtré par le feuillage des arbres.

Meeting the Hare

So there I was, walking down a country lane just outside the village, when a hare popped out of the hedgerow. I have a fondness for hares, and I immediately halted and enjoyed the experience…

I was stunned when the hare bounded casually up the lane towards me! That never happens. The approaching, I mean… I am often stunned. It paused again and gazed over at me, then came closer still!

When it stopped again the hare was no more than four feet from me and I had to lean away a little to get it in focus!

We stared at each other for maybe thirty seconds, then it was off into the hedgerow once more.

As a pagan and a Druid, this unusual meeting held for me a magical connection with the otherworlds. Lore aligns the hare with liminal spaces, with the dawn, the Moon, fertility, divination, and the harvest.

Even at these 1000 pixel long edge reduced images you can almost feel the rough hair of this marvellous creature, and perhaps even see me reflected in its eye!

An encounter that I will treasure always, and no doubt return to in my meditations.

An independent auto mechanic shop, across the street from the POV of the camera. It’s a low, white building, looking like something built in the 70s or 80s. A truck is up on a lift, outdoors. Of course it’s outdoors because it’s San Diego. Anywhere else in the country, this would be a terrible idea. The sky is blue with a few small clouds. The back side of a stop sign is in the foreground, and yellow crosswalk stripes are in the lower right of the frame.
