This is a color photo I took in Alaska. Several sea lions are lounging on a small iceberg that is flat like a floating platform. The water around them is deep green and the berg is a pale blue in contrast. In the background are other small bergs and the shoreline with evergreens and snow.

The energetic movements were said to be accompanied by singing and percussion, showcasing the vitality and strength of Somba culture. A key element of these dances was noted to be the use of seeds tied to the ankles, which act as rattles, producing rhythmic sounds in harmony with the dancers' steps.

These seeds were highlighted as having a dual purpose: enhancing the sonic rhythm of the dance and symbolizing fertility and connection to the earth, further deepening the spiritual and agricultural ties of the community."

<p>March Blizzard - kind of what it looks like here today. Weather said 6 inches, but we've at about 18 inches and still snowing. No power and quite the unusual weather for November.
