“One last night on the GR20 trail, at I Paliri refuge”

The I Paliri refuge is located in the Monte Incudine massif in Corsica, France, which includes the famous Needles of Bavella.

The refuge marks the last night for many hikers on the GR20 trail.

Looking down a river with banks which have dense overhanging vegetation. The leaves of the reeds look a bit like bamboo foliage. The water is smooth and creamy in the centre of the shot but shadowy by the river banks. Near the centre slightly to the left is a disc of brighter, faster flowing water which looks like a cup is emerging from the river bottom. There is a distinct lip where the water creates an edge. Feint ripple emit across the surface of the river. The disc could be a gateway to another dimension.
