I've been looking at this picture for weeks, unsatisfied and not knowing what I would do with it. I woke up too early this morning, feeling like reality is distorted and bent under human will. This picture is still real but has something wrong, like it might break.

<p>Friday promises</p><p>My green lemon tree has been my companion all winter, close to my desk and window. It is now full of flowers, bathing in the sun, and I even see tiny green lemons for the first time. Plough marks in the empty rice paddies on either side of a road have been highlighted by snow which is starting to stick. The road however, is wet. Gaggles of umbrellard school children are making their way home tracing the curve of the road as it stretches towards the horizon. Behind them and nearest the viewer is a T-junction, thin plastic bollards marking the edge of the road and a pedestrian crossing.
