This is a color photo I took in Alaska. Several sea lions are lounging on a small iceberg that is flat like a floating platform. The water around them is deep green and the berg is a pale blue in contrast. In the background are other small bergs and the shoreline with evergreens and snow.

A waterfall. This is Majestic Falls but right now its not so majestic. The water level is low from summer heat. The falls is still pretty going over the basalt cliff and into the rocky creek.

A creek winding through a forest. This is McDowell Creek at its low summer level. A few big logs have fallen across the creek. The water is lazily flowing over the patchy creek bed.

A view of the forest. One tall pine tree stands out as the rest of the sunlit foliage is covered in mosses, casting interesting shadows in dappled patterns.
