Scene of my #pota Activation of US-0004 (Arches National Park). This was in the Double Arch picnic area, opposite of the Windows, a really nice area to do this. I did a second activation the next afternoon, but since it was on the same GMT calendar day, the results are pooled.
I discovered I should never upload logs to QRZ first, lest it eff up the details (e.g. county, state, grid) Rather, sign them to LoTW then have QRZ import them.
Out on vacation with my family. Running #APRS as we drive, rarely making to the internet. Tried texting one driver from the hotel as they drove by. We’ll see if they see it.
This morning I was also listening to 146.520, and heard CQ #POTA. I was able to get back to them, and they were able to get the rest rather quickly to activate the peak.
