#RoadSafety in the #UK: My wife keeps telling me that it could be improved if insurance was linked only to the car, not to specific drivers - because if you're unwell, tired, drunk etc you could hand over your keys to somebody else who is fit to drive. Perfectly possible in Germany, but in the UK apparently the driver has to be named in the insurance document. Any clues why this isn't considered? (we 've never owned a car so have very little practical experience of the issue) #UKpolitics
