Oh come on.
"We are observing stealth crawling behavior from Perplexity, an AI-powered answer engine. Although Perplexity initially crawls from their declared user agent, when they are presented with a network block, they appear to obscure their crawling identity in an attempt to circumvent the website’s preferences."
All kinds of awful.
"I am the lawyer for a multinational group active in the energy sector that intends to displace a small Amazonian indigenous community from their territories in order to build a dam and a hydroelectric plant."

Anthropic, the creator of the Claude AI chatbot now faces "hundreds of billions of dollars in potential damages liability at trial in four months based on a class certification rushed at "warp speed" that involves "up to seven million potential claimants, whose works span a century of publishing history," each possibly triggering a $150,000 fine".
I've heard about some jobs pushing their workers into using AI, but now students?
"The reach and pace of AI’s impact to society, including many dimensions of higher education, means that we at Purdue must lean in and lean forward and do so across different functions at the university."
"We’re learning a lot, I’m going to be honest with you."

It's working!
"Large companies (defined as having more than 250 employees) have reduced their AI usage, according to the data. The slowdown started in June, when it was at roughly 13.5%, slipping to about 12% at the end of August. Most other lines, representing companies with fewer employees, are also at a decline, with some still increasing."
"Only ten percent [of over 5,000 US adults] said they were "more excited than concerned," indicating that most Americans simply do not share the extremely optimistic views of tech leaders selling AI products."
Learning a new AI-related term: workslop.
"The insidious effect of workslop is that it shifts the burden of the work downstream, requiring the receiver to interpret, correct, or redo the work. In other words, it transfers the effort from creator to receiver."
