肃然起敬！在去年年底原威尔士国家剧院National Theatre Wales因威尔士艺术委员会削减160万英镑资金而被迫关闭后，威尔士演员迈克尔·辛Michael Sheen宣布了自筹资金创办新的威尔士国家剧院的计划。他提到此前出演威尔士著名人物“奈伊”的影响：“威尔士有着丰富的历史叙事，但无论是在国内还是国际上，我们的故事被低估了。《奈伊》在世界范围内的出现，证明了如果给予观众体验我们故事的机会，他们会对我们的故事产生兴趣。”
新的威尔士国家剧院的第一场演出将定于2026年秋季在卡迪夫的Millennium Centre举行，这里也是《奈伊》二轮演出地点之一。未来威尔士国家剧院计划依靠公共和私人投资，每年推出一部剧目。
迈克尔·辛强调：“这是威尔士戏剧的新契机。我们将成为优秀人才的家园，将他们聚集在一起，创作雄心勃勃的戏剧，让本土故事栩栩如生——这都是国家剧院应该做的。”

丹玛尔仓库剧院《近乎正常》的高清影像版将率先在美国PBS播出！这部由Tom Kitt作曲，Brian Yorkey作词，获得过托尼奖与普利策奖的杰作首次登上英国舞台就获得巨大成功，由丹玛尔总监Michael Longhurst执导，卡司包括Caissie Levy（《冰雪奇缘》）, Trevor Dion Nicholas，Jamie Parker（《哈利波特与被诅咒的孩子》）, Jack Wolfe, Eleanor Worthington-Cox和Jack Ofrecio等，影像录制于西区温德海姆剧院演出现场。美国首播定于5月9日作为PBS Great Performances的一部分播出，英国及其他地区的发行消息尚未公布。
