Streetart. A charming mural of a little boy was painted on the front door of a brick house. The door was also painted and now looks like a wooden door with glass windows. The boy is depicted in gray, white and black and can be seen from behind. He is wearing short black shorts, a gray hoodie, sports shoes and is holding a bouquet of red flowers behind his back as he knocks on the door. A nice idea that makes everyone who passes by smile.

Streetart. A collaboration of chalk art and paper stencil art. A little mouse (named Nadine) with a bucket of water and a tin can were drawn with chalk on a gray sidewalk. There are weeds growing on the ground that have been integrated into the drawing and it looks like a plant is growing out of the can. Behind it, another artist (Joei Urato) has placed a drawing of a child sitting on the ground as a cardboard stand-up. The child in dungarees and a sun hat holds a small flower in his hand and looks at the growing plant with his mouse.

Streetartwall. A mural with half a man's head has been stuck to a wall that is half hidden behind a tree. The man with raspy short hair (almost bald) looks out from behind the tree with big eyes and a red nose. Irritating, because there is nothing but the wall to the right of the tree.
Info: A further 16 collages by the artist Philippe Herard are currently hidden in the center of Aurillac. The painter is known for his anonymous figures on kraft paper, which find themselves in absurd situations and appear on the walls of France.

Streetartwall. A very funny mural with two figures was sprayed/painted by two artists on a small beige house wall. The little comic figure (called Gouzou) is a small yellow man without facial expression, without hands and feet, sprayed by the artist Jace. The Gouzou wears a captain's cap on his head, has a lifebuoy clamped under one arm and throws a lifebuoy to the right with the other. A whole mountain of lifebuoys has already piled up there and the head of a bald man peeks out cautiously from the middle, almost completely stuck in the mountain. Incidentally, the realistically painted man is the work of artist Philippe Herard, whose bald head often gets into absurd situations.

Streetartwall. A beautiful mural with two figures between tall trees has been sprayed/painted on the outside wall of a two-storey brick building. Several rows of tall dark green and brown trees in yellow and orange light fill the painting. The sunlight falls on a small forest clearing. The lower part is in darkness. A couple embracing can be seen in the middle. The figures are designed like an oil painting, but appear photorealistic when viewed from a distance. Both are wearing long pants and shirts, but neither their faces nor the question of whether they are men or women can be made out. Both the successful color composition and the dense atmosphere convey a feeling of security and warmth.

Info: 92-year-old Mauricette, who resembles the Mexican artist's grandmother, was happy to pose for him. She is delighted with her mural, even though she criticizes the fact that he painted her wearing a smock apron. She had been so beautifully dressed the day before.

🚢 All aboard the Fun Ship! TSS Duke of Lancaster, moored near Mostyn Docks in North Wales

The ship was installed here in 1979, and it was dubbed the "Fun Ship." This clever business venture allowed the owner to circumvent Sunday trading laws (as these didn't apply to ships). It closed in 2004.

In 2012 graffiti artists from Europe and the UK were commissioned to spray murals. In 2017 the ship was repainted black!
