Shot from the roof of the equally hideous Lee Circle car park. A Brutalist empire that some even refer to as a tourist attraction 🤣 If you love the smell of piss, it comes highly recommended 🤢

Museum of Man

I went down to Balboa Park and found a photographers Paradise. The buildings are magnificent and the architecture is out of this world beautiful.
This building was built for the 1915 Panama-American Exposition and is truly an impressive structure.
While exploring the park I saw this beautiful structure framed by the palm trees.

The Golden Gate

The Golden Gate. The name was given to this stretch of water before the bridge was built or gold was discovered in California. The first mention was in Jon Freemont's memoirs where he wrote "To this Gate I gave the name of "Chrysopylae", or "Golden Gate";
The Golden Gate Bridge is by estimation, the most photographed bridge in the world.

The Golden Gate

Before you rises the Golden Gate Bridge, its deep orange towers glowing warmly against a crisp, cloudless blue sky. Sunlight glints off the steel cables, creating thin, shimmering lines that vibrate in the wind.

Below, the bay churns with whitecaps—small, sharp bursts of foam that crackle like torn paper as the wind whips across the water. A ship glides beneath the bridge, its dark hull cutting a smooth path through the restless blue. The air smells of salt and cold metal, and the wind carries a low, distant hum from the bridge’s traffic.

The entire scene feels both vast and intimate: the monumental sweep of the bridge contrasted with the delicate sparkle of winter light. It’s a moment suspended between stillness and motion, warmth and chill, human engineering and the raw energy of the Pacific.

Next up in the Kaleidoscopic series, a dark mode abstraction made from an apartment building on Albert Embankment in London.

The residential and mixed use complex, known as The Corniche, was designed by global architecture studio, Foster + Partners. The building was completed between 2017 and 2019.

From the backlog from last October: I did the Old City Hall station tour. The tour is only open to members of the NY Transit Museum. But the free way to see it is to take the 6 train and stay on the train past Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station; there the train will go through the Old City Hall station in a loop to turn around. #nyc #subway #trains #trainstation #architecture #photography #darktable #railfan

Under the dark tiled arches, on a curved platform of an abandoned subway station. The station is lit by dim tunsten-colored lights. A train entered the station, and its bright headlights illuminated the tour guide on the platform.
