Dalton Mills, Keighley. A beautiful abandoned Victorian textile mill in West Yorkshire. I had the privilege of exploring and documenting this historical place a few years ago. Sadly, a huge fire destroyed it in 2022.

Doftana Prison, Romania. This vast fortress-like penitentiary has housed inmates during some of the most turbulent periods in Romania’s history. Today, it stands derelict and collapsing, a haunting reminder of the terrible conditions offenders were once incarcerated in.

Industrial #ArtDeco, at its finest! This abandoned powerplant plant control room in Hungary was powered down decades ago.

The oval room is lit by an immense skylight, which casts dramatic light across the original green metal control panels. These walls remain lined with levers, valves, and dials.

Without a doubt, one of my favourite adventures. I have visited three times now!

A pile of old cars, dropped through a narrow opening, cascades into this abandoned Welsh slate mine. Daylight streams in from the same hole, illuminating twisted wreckages. Certainly. a strange site that raises questions and stirs emotions.

What do you see here? An unusually beautiful scene, accidentally created from careless dumping? Or nothing more than an ugly pile of trash?
