Bicycling in Pebble Beach is temporarily restricted Saturday and Sunday, August 16-17, 2025 due to Concours d'Elegance. Also, although not restricted Monday through Friday, August 11-15, Pebble Beach Company does not recommend biking inside Pebble Beach on those five dates as well. "#Switzerland-based International Association of Conference #Interpreters (AIIC) issued a statement saying, 'For decades, #MIIS was the quintessential #ConferenceInterpreting training in the United States, and in recent years, it had also become the last comprehensive #conference program. This is part of a larger program affecting conference interpreting #globally, but with its own national undertones.
โ'With this decision, there will be no conference #interpreter training in the entire U.S.โฆ given the gravity of the situation, we urge the MIIS president and board of trustees to reassess.โโโfrom a report by Sara Rubin in #MontereyCountyNow
We'd miss MIIS! I shot a very well attended 4th of July Parade in Monterey, CA. I have some fun shots from the parade, but the ones I'm most pleased by are these face in the crowd shots I was able to get after the parade ended.
Every time I'm in a crowd, I try to get shots like this, but it's always hit or miss... mostly miss. This time, I got exceedingly lucky and very noticeable faces kept appearing out of the sea of humanity over and over again for me.
