I took the train all the way to the last stop, Lancaster, CA. I had an hour before the train back to LA, so I had dinner in Lancaster and took a walk on Lancaster Blvd. It was already pretty empty. A smallish potted tree which has been cut back almost to the soil sits alone in front of a pale pink painted wall. The wall has a large bare spot where the plant at its full height had previously blocked access to the wall. A small healthy green growth is emerging undeterred from the stumps in the pot. A large "Yoga Narasimha" installation at Widyaa-Waarinidhi Theertha Guest House, Udupi #India. It seems this #sculpture has been at this spot forever, but I noticed it only last night. (The wavy light strips behind create a moving effect.) 🧘‍♂️

The sculpture is modeled after the main deity of Kaniyooru Matha (which owns the guest house). 👇

A ~7 feet (2m+) high bronze sculpture of Hindu deity "Yoga Narasimha" which is a 4-armed Lord Narasimha (human body, lion face) seated in a yoga posture. The front arms stretched and held over knees in meditation. Each of the rear arms hold up an icon (chakra or disc; shankha or conch) of Wishnu. Some decorative wavy strips of LED light on the wall behind. A black idol of Lord Rama and a smaller black idol of Lord Krishna in front.

This photo is from Riola di Vergato. It is of a mountain peak which is partially shrouded in dense, swirling dark clouds and fog. The mountain is covered in trees and. Above it there is a pretty dramatic overcast sky.
(There was also a rain drop spot on the original that I think I covered well with a radial mask - but if you spot it don't let me know because I tried my best to blend it in. 😂)
