It's been a while, but project #frankenfabric has entered a new phase. Side a and side b are finished, and nearly the same size. Now I have to put together the middle layer. I have this weird linen double gauze in an ugly colour. I took the extremely ugly dress I made with it apart and are going to attempt putting all the bits and pieces back together in a big rectangle. It should be just about enough fabric for my quilt.

I jettisoned the coat I started last week (energy too scarce to waste on a project that doesn’t excite me), and redirected attention to the water-resistant, bonded houndstooth wool, but with a ‘simple’ cape pattern (new look, N6768).

First day of #scanagile26! Here are some hotel selfies of a blouse I sewed recently and am wearing today. Have been hoarding this fabric for a long time until I finally sewed it up. The pattern is loosely based on the Wiksten Tova tunic, which sadly is no longer available. Same pants as yesterday 😲.

You know, this space is usually occupied by my #sewing supplies. Right now these are spread around my office and Akira made it his new sleeping spot 😂
New standard for measuring pocket size just dropped.
Imagine if sewing machines told you when the bobbin thread ran out! Or if the bobbin were somewhere easily visible instead of hidden away in the guts!
Perhaps then I wouldn't constantly notice I've run out of bobbin thread HALF A METRE AGO!

Things that I got myself into due to #amateurradio...
I build my first kite and choose a design that is the hardest to build. All that cutting, trimming, matching, #sewing night after night...
And it barely flies due to my mismanagement of string lengths. I will try it again and should be fun if I can keep it airborne =)
Hopefully this will lift an #antenna at some point in the future.
