Le Monde Diplomatique de mai 2026 a publié cet article dont l’auteur est le Secrétaire Général de JURDI et maître de conférence Benjamin Fiorini.
Sont rappelées les obligations internationales les plus impératives des Etats, en particulier de la France, de prévenir le crime de génocide quand ils ont « connaissance » de « risque sérieux » de l’existence d’actes génocidaires parfaitement documentés dans le TPO de Gaza. Il est rappelé n’a pas satisfait à cette obligation en ne mettant pas tous ses « moyens raisonnablement à disposition » pour prévenir ce crime. Elle n’a, par exemple, pas exercé les pressions ni pris les sanctions à la hauteur de ses obligations et moyens.

Stop telling women how to live their life!
The continued focus of the media on telling women what to do reflects a wide-spread sexism in global societies.... it won't be stoped abruptly, but behind much prejudice is this assumed male right.
So, my friends, if you find yourself telling a women how to live their life ask yourself: have I the right to be offering unasked-for 'guidance' or 'advice'?
Today in Labor History February 1, 1864: The Collar Laundry Union formed in Troy, New York. The Collar Union was the first all-female labor union in the U.S. Women typically worked 12-14 hours per day under dangerous conditions. Led by Kate Mullany, the union won a wage increase from $2 per week to $14 per week.

In a recent comparison of engagement around a Leave.X campaign post,[1] someone pointed out that a female journalist who is active in the feminist movement and critical of Big Tech had a very different experience than others.
The Mastodon post was shared twice, while the Bluesky version was shared over 200 times and received significantly more interactions. This raises questions about tech-savvy spaces like Mastodon and how they reflect broader societal issues.

New Wikipedia article on the 1971 Fifth Street Women's Building Takeover ✅
At midnight on January 1, 1971, over 100 women occupied 330 East Fifth Street, a derelict building in Manhattan that had previously been a welfare office. A coalition of 40 feminist groups had asked city officials if they could start a women's center in an abandoned government property. When it became clear the city wasn't interested in giving women the resources they needed, they decided to make them.
They occupied the building for 13 days, establishing a food co-op, daycare, medical clinic, and lesbian center. Women gave and received practical demonstrations in carpentry, plumbing, first aid, karate, and art. The group operated non-hierarchically, with women rotating shifts as guards, facilitators, and coordinators.
City officials were initially open to negotiating with the feminists, but abruptly changed course after the organizers refused to give the welfare office information about women who came to Fifth Street to receive services. The police shut down the women's building a few days later. 24 women were arrested, but most of their charges were dropped because they turned their backs to cameras and came to court wearing makeup, high heels, and coiffed hair. The police didn't recognize their alleged attackers. 330 East Fifth Street was demolished and turned into a police parking lot. (Truly you cannot make this shit up.)
