A small improvement to Samsung’s lethal stove design where the common medium setting looks identical to off, making it hard to spot a stove left on.
Here I used black tape for directional marking. Red would be better!

So my phone tricked me into updating to iOS 26 (nice one, asshats). And wow: it really is a case study in form over function. Gratuitous, meaningless aesthetics and motion. Decoration, not design. “Look what I can do!”
Oh well, if it gets me using my phone less, that’s a good thing, I guess.
But the next time you hear someone from Apple talking about design, please feel free to laugh in their damn faces. What a sad joke they’ve become.

I am begging website owners to always provide a light mode. It’s an accessibility issue for me: my aging eyes are no longer able to view light-on-dark text for extended periods without severe ghosting/afterimages.
The redesigned profile fields are now on mastodon.social.
I wasn't too sure when I first saw the mockups, but I'm starting to like this.
The proposed (and widely used) fediverse logo is now part of the Font Awesome library.
