But progress on climate action has stagnated in recent years, global GHG emissions are yet to peak, and our remaining carbon budget is dwindling.</p><p>Above 1.5°C of warming, we risk passing critical tipping points in natural Earth systems, triggering self-perpetuating changes that could shift the planet out of the habitable zone for humanity and for life as we know it.
