Looks like self-hosting and using Immich is the way to go. I've been wanting to do a bit of self-hosting and it looks like this will push me in the that direction.

My face when I just want to drink a peaceful beer in the pub but the other old white men at the counter who never touched a computer in their lives start a heated discussion about the pros and cons of AI and their arguments are the kind of wrong where you can't even explain why they're wrong because they're entirely based on misread headlines in tabloids and second hand anecdotes they heard from other drunk people.
