"Arched" for #FotoVorschlag "Typisch für meinen Wohnort" / "Typical for where I live"

With almost 62km of porticoes in Bologna, (about 40km in the city centre), I'd say these are pretty typical. 😂

This is a black-and-white photograph of some of the portico in San Luca. It is a long, dramatic hallway framed by a repeating series of vaulted stone arches. The arches repeat into the distance. There is light from the fixtures up above which illumintae the upper curves and also illuminate the stone pavement below.

So this New York sloth has made his way over to a new server. Please be patient with me as I reconnect with anyone I inadvertently left behind. Adjustment will be a slow process, but that’s just how I roll. Give me a shout out, Fedi Fam, if I’ve lost you in the shuffle. #photography #BelieveInFilm #NYC #NewYork #Mamdanistan

A field of pilings stands in the East River; the deck they once supported is long gone. On the left half of the photo, across the river, rise the buildings of Lower Manhattan. The right half of the picture shows some of Brooklyn Bridge Park's trees.

In the mid-19th century, a photographer named James Mudd delivered a talk titled 'A Photographer's Dream,' whose substance holds true even today.

You can have the best gear in the world, but without the right light and a little patience, a bird is just a bird.

Dartford Warbler Posing

In nearly the same spot as the Stonechat from the previous post, this tiny Dartford Warbler sat still here for a few moments.

I tiny brown bird with orange cheeks and legs, a white belly, and a black tail. It's perched upon some needles of an evergreen. The background is green and blurry.

Something I've discovered in the last few days.

#autumn #sunflowers #photography #field

A sunflower can be seen in the foreground. The background is blurry, but you can see that it is standing in a field full of other sunflowers.

ALT

A close-up of one of the sunflowers. Also, there's another flower in purple—I think it's a vetch.

ALT

Another view of the sunflower field. The main focus is on a sunflower that is slightly covered by a leaf. Some of the vetch vines are next to the sunflower. In the blurred background, purple vetch blossoms and more yellow sunflower heads can be seen.

Back again with the Unknonwn camera, and so far no one has been able to identify it. I’ve cleaned the lens but it appears that there is still something inside the camera that is scratching the negatives - so that’s my task for the winter, fixing that issue.
